Overview

As the risks that the global economy is facing a double-dip recession grow, predictions and fears of an economic slowdown in China increase by the day. How will the global economy and political dialogue change to address this scenario? What opportunities and challenges will the international banking sector face as the situation becomes ever more complex? What path lead to reform of China's banking sector? What experiences can we learn from Shanghai, as china’s largest international financial center?

2012 Shanghai Bankers Summit will be co-hosted by Caixin Media and the Shanghai Banking Association (SBA). It aims to build a highly authoritative and forward-looking platform in China’s most developed financial district in order to discuss the trends of development and reform in the global banking industry. Themed “Transformation of the Global Banking System and Structure after the Crisis”, the 2012 Summit will invite international and domestic banking industry regulators, heads of top financial institutions and well-known economists to discuss the development of the banking industry in an uncertain environment.
