Introduction

Caixin Summit Overseas Session is an offshoot of the Summit series. It features two to three events a year. The overseas sessions have been held in Washington D.C., New York, St. Petersburg, Davos, Sydney and Hong Kong, and become an in-depth dialogue platform gathering domestic and international high profile figures.
This year, Caixin Summit will walk into New York City again scheduling in mid-October. The forum will bring together around 120 leading economists, business leaders and visionaries from the US and China, discussing development strategies for both countries under current complex and changing global and domestic economy.

Who's steering China's carefully managed financial system? Speculators were busy name-guessing before and for several months after the Communist Party's 18th National Congress in November. Finally, the dust started to settle with formal appointments announced a few days after the National People's Congress session concluded in March. Additional appointments to regulatory and state-bank posts were expected soon.
Washington and Beijing Draw Lines in the Sand over Cyber Spying
(Beijing) – The United States and China have long debated industrial spying and intellectual property rights issues. However, recent reports accusing China of widespread hacking activities have intensified the exchanges. On February 20, the White House released a strategy paper outlining an approach for protecting the trade secrets of U.S. companies. "Emerging trends indicate that the pace of economic espionage and trade secret theft against U.S. corporations is accelerating," the report said.
