Director, Climate Policy & Finance Programme, Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation

Shubhashis is the Director of Climate Policy & Finance Program at Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation (Shakti) with two decades of experience in advising government, multilateral, bilateral organizations and business in India, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Mauritius, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Jordan, and United Kingdom on projects related to energy efficiency and climate change in sectors such as industry, appliances, transport, forestry, water, urban infrastructure, and buildings. He provides strategic planning and leadership to Shakti’s Climate Policy and Climate Finance Programs. He leads Shakti’s work at the national, subnational and cities on climate mitigation and resilience, informing policy actions towards climate change, climate finance and air pollution.

Prior to joining Shakti in 2016, Shubhashis was working with Ernst & Young, Sodexo, Eaga Energy and McKinnon & Clarke in the past. He is a Postgraduate in Energy Management from Indian Institute of Social Welfare & Business Management, Kolkata, and Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics Engineering from RCOEM, Nagpur University.
