Prof. HUANG has served as the Chief Investment Officer of CNIC Corporation Limited since 2017, overseeing the company's global M&A investments.
During 2002-2016, he held the position of Director General and head of the Reserve Management Department at the State Administration of Foreign Exchange of China (SAFE). In this role, Prof. HUANG was responsible for managing global asset allocation, investment operations, and risk management of China's foreign reserves.He also served as Chief Economist and Vice Chairman of the investment committee of SAFE (2008-2016).
Prior to 2000, Prof. HUANG was a Substantiated professor at the City University of Hong Kong, a senior fellow at the Asian-Pacific Financial and Forecasting Research Centre, and the coordinator of EF Department's undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
Prof. HUANG holds a PhD from the University of Birmingham in the UK, a Master degree from the PBCSF of Tsinghua University, and a Bachelor degree from Peking University.
