Mr. Chen, seconded from the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA), is Senior Adviser of HKIMR. Before joining the HKIMR, he worked at Research Department, External Department of the HKMA and the IMF Sub-Office in Hong Kong. He was Vice President at the Currency and Rate Strategy Group of Bank of America in New York before he joined HKMA in 2004.
Mr. Chen is a graduate of Columbia University in New York and Beijing University in China. His research interests are mainly in monetary policy analysis, international economics, and Chinese economy and financial markets.
